The first of two inversion workshops with Aleysha, this workshop breaks down the basics of headstand and forearm stand; two inversions that require a fine tuning of concentration, balance, and alignment.
We will begin with headstand, the “king of asanas”, and progress towards pincha, forearm stand. Workshop will include a discussion portion and an assessment to determine based on the proportions of your body which variation(s) of headstand you will be able to practice safely.
We will warm up and prepare for both tripod and classical headstand variations, and later move on to play with pincha. There will be partner work and individual practice time for both inversions!
