La Vendemmia marks the traditional Italian celebration of the grape harvest. Our newly beautified Little Italy proudly continues its tradition of warm hospitality and fabulous cuisine. This September marks the15th anniversary and your host, the Preston Street BIA felt it was time to highlight the multinational flavours of our great restaurants–so we’ve stretched La Vendemmia’s Italian roots to allow us to show you how the harvest is celebrated around the world. 

We invite you to join us for the ever-popular Moveable Feast, a multicourse gourmet discovery of signature Preston Street restaurants, the riotous Grape Stomp fundraiser for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, and the signature Taste of Preston Street Food & Wine Show.

New this year, be wowed by the masterpieces at the Plein Air Art Paint-out and Sale, an outdoor art show featuring artists set-up along the boulevard. The Little Italy Farmers’ Market will bring the harvest to the festival with demonstrations of how to make the most of the local bounty.

Up and down the street businesses will offer workshops & culinary events, including Preston Hardware who show you how the pros make wine with imported grapes. There will be guided walking tours of the public art project “Postcards from the Piazzas” led by the artist, cj fleury, chef led tours by C’est bon Cooking as well as tours of Little Italy’s landmarks led by local historian Luciano Pradal.
